This is our final/official edit of 'Dream' - our short abstract experimental film.

From the feedback we received in our 'crits' session we have improved the rough edit of the film to create our fine cut version.
The main areas we have improved is the pace of the film. We have included some of the less abstract flashing images throughout the film. (The volume input meter on the guitar amplifier and some more CU Shots of the character's hand on the steering wheel of his car). Before, images of this nature only appeared in one small sequence of the film. They had a positive effect on the audience, by breaking the dark and gloomy colour filter throughout the film. This is why we added the same effects throughout more of the film.
We have shortened the film by changing the end sequence. Some feedback we received was that the end sequence looked "too digitised". We have changed this to flow more naturally with the rest of the film.
We have completed the final coach still image sequence. This represents the character waking up from the dream. We have included cuts in the same style from our inspiration film, Chris Marker's 'La Jetee'.
We are happy with the changes we have made and feel like we have arrived at the finished product. I am happy with the progress and development we have made after our last 'crits' session.
